FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City - The soldiers from different major services of AFP together with the different LGU’s of NCR and civilian volunteers conducts clean-up Operations at Tullahan River, Brgy. Sta Lucia, Quezon City on 23 July 2011.
The personnel from Civil-Military Operations Battalion, Civil-Military Operations Group, Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Airforce, Department of Interior and Local Government, Philippine National Police, Metro Manila Development Agency, Army Reservist, Brgy. Officials and civilian volunteers of the said Barangay joins the clean- up operation in order to show to the people a good example of having a clean and green environment.
The personnel involved in the activity aims to clean-up the Tullahan river that eventually exit towards Manila bay marine eco system. With this activity it is indirect motivation of the military to encourage the public in joining hand in hand in protecting and saving our environment to have a clean and healthy living place.
It is a clear manifestation that our soldiers is an advocate not only in peace and development but also an advocate of a clean, green and healthy environment.
