The success of the two-day activity was made possible with the cooperation and efforts from the personnel of the Civil-Military Operations Battalion and eighty (80) student leaders of from PUP, Sta Mesa particularly from the College of Engineering led by Ms. Maria Djohanna Angelica Ongtangco.
Among the activities conducted to develop these students into future leaders and productive citizen for our country are the amazing race conducted on 16 July 2011 within the area from their main campus to Intramuros, Baclaran, Cubao prior finishing at NCRCOM compound to test their ability to lead and follow instruction as well as the challenges as a team, thereafter, they had different team building activities, group presentations and lectures on the recruitment activities of the CPP/NPA and on what leadership is. To conclude the two days activity, the students were given written exam purposely for the facilitator as well as the students to recognize what they have learned and what they should improve as individual, as son/daughter to their parents and as responsible citizens of this country.
Towards the end of the activity, the soldier and the student facilitators only heard praises and excellent remarks on the success of said activity because the students believed that the knowledge that they have learned during said activity will serve as their guide to become a good leader of their generation.
Rest assured that the hierarchy and soldiers of the Civil-Military Operations Battalion will continue its efforts to conduct and support this kind of activity because they believed in what Dr. Jose Rizal had once said that “Ang kabataan ang pagasa ng bayan”.
