AWARENESS ON CPP-NPA-NDF CONDUCTED TO CCM STUDENTS

         The CMO Battalion has once again conducted an awareness drive, this time to the second year BS Political Science students of the City College of Manila on February 5, 2009 held at Spring of Life Adventure Camp in Antipolo, Rizal. The faculty of the Department of Political Science of the school headed by Prof. Noami D Solano initiated the invitation.

         CPT MARIO JOSE M CHICO (QMS) PA, Operations officer of the Battalion conducted the said lecture which was incorporated in their 6th Annual Leadership and Team Building activity . The lecture was purposely to share the Philippine Army’s stand and perceptions as well as it’s various efforts on the country’s insurgency situation. It further aims to impart to the students the CPP-NPA-NDF’s political array as well as the party’s deception activities in urban communities, more so on youth recruitment.

 

         An open forum was held after the lecture where the students did not only asked queries but also expressed their condemnation about the atrocities of the CPP-NPA-NDF. They also appreciated the presentation for it raised their awareness regarding the communist organization.

 

         Prof Noami D Solano, further conveyed continued partnership with the unit for succeeding information/lecture to be conducted in their school. The CMO Bn in turn will continue to put forth efforts in conducting awareness drives to schools and universities in Metro Manila to prevent the CPP-NPA-NDF’s infiltration to the student sector.
