     Personnel of the Civil Military Operations Battalion specifically from 2nd and 3rd Community Development Companies led by 2LT GLENDA D GANO (CAV) PA participated in the conduct of  the nationwide AFP Bloodletting activity dubbed as “DUGONG LAANG-KAWAL ALAY SA BAYAN”  held at AFPRESCOM compound,GHQ, Camp Aguinaldo on 20 December 2008.

 

     About 25,000 cc of blood was donated by qualified personnel coming from the different unit and offices of the Air Force, Army and Navy. The activity was led by the AFP Reserve Command in coordination with the Philippine National Voluntary Blood Services Program of the Veterans Memorial Medical Center Blood Bank.

 

     The Bloodletting activity is in commemoration of the AFP’s 73rd Founding anniversary, celebrated every 21st Day of December.  Moreover, It is one of the major support activities conducted nationwide in all major camps of the AFP, targeting a minimum of one million cubic centimeter of blood to be consolidated within the whole month of December.  The activity further aims to increase the level of stocks of blood supply in government blood banks.
