Soldiers Provide Assistance to Gift Giving in Parola,Tondo

Members of the 2nd Platoon, 1st Squad led by Pfc Romullo and Pfc Oligo of the 1st Community Organizing and Development Company under Maj Nelson de la Cruz assisted Kagawad Alfred Almedo of Parola, Tondo, Manila  in one of his out-reach projects sharing his blessings to his constituents during this holiday season. The gift-giving was held at Gate 17 of Parola, Tondo last Dec. 26 which benefited hundreds of its residents.  The activity started with a simple program and ended with the distribution of gifts from Kag. Almedo. Soldiers provided security and man power assistance which was greatly appreciated by the said barangay official.

Children enjoyed the gifts and at the same time parents welcomed the presence of the soldiers stating that it helps maintain the orderliness of the activity as well as the community.  This only shows that the mere presence of the soldiers is very much welcomed by the community.
