Troops of 1st CODE Coy Conducts Clean-up Drive in Quiapo
The 1st CODE Coy led by MAJ NELSON DE LA CRUZ in coordination with the Rotary Club International, Barangay Officials, and troops of the National Capital Region Command (NCRCOM) recently held a clean-up drive at Brgy 384, Quiapo, Manila. The joint effort was very successful that residents along the Muslim Mosque in Quiapo profusely extended their gratitude to the organizers and participants of the said activity.
Incidentally, a Medical and Dental Mission benefitting hundreds of residents of the Barangay was also held. The activities aim to assist the local government unit in its cleanliness and developmental projects, as well as to forge an alliance with Civic Organizations for the speedy delivery of basic services in the depressed areas in Metro Manila.
Medicines for cough, cold and flu were freely dispensed. Doctors invited by the Rotary Club International extended free consultations. Some soldiers helped in marshalling the area while others assisted in the clean up drive.
After the day long activity, residents expressed their gratitude through a commitment that they will fully cooperate and assist our soldiers in all its developmental efforts as well as in maintaining peace and order.
